    Notes: Two PBY5As, N9505C and N31235, were used as retardant and water bombers on a 72,500 acre wildfire in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the late summer of 1976. I was the assistant fire boss for the state on the fire and believe they came from Alaska before they were on our fire.
