    To Vertol.
    Ernie Szelepscenyi comments (November 2015): Used as the factory demonstrator in Europe for trials with civil operators in several other countries, as well as for mine-sweeping trials in Belgium. It also made several water landings with inflatable pontoons.

    Ernie Szelepscenyi comments (November 2015): Used for rescue work during the Italian earthquake.

    15 February 1959

    Ernie Szelepscenyi comments (November 2015): On this date in response to the earthquake relief efforts it landed inside the Vatican on 15 Feb 1959, the first motorized vehicle to ever enter the inner compound and was blessed by Pope John XXIII.
